The past couple days JJ has come to reject his naps...that is unless Mommy is holding him or he accidentally gives in while in the car or stroller (which of course doesn't last long once the ride is over). It's really hard hearing your baby cry when all they want is just to be with you. I admit I give in sometimes...other times I let him cry it out but it's hard none the less. Luckily he's still going down at night without much fuss (which I prefer!) so I'm thankful for that.
It is amazing just the little lessons I learn about God through being a mom. How God hates to see us cry but sometimes we are crying about something that He wants us to go through because it is good for us. Actually it is always for good and never for evil. God is a loving Parent, much much more so than we are to our children. How much more does He give us good things than we to our own children (whom we lose patience with and withdrawal grace from unlike God to us).
So it's hard to hear them cry, but good to be reassured that it is not for nothing and though he may not understand or realize it now some day, he will.
