We're almost at 8 weeks (or 2 months!) this Wednesday. It's so hard to believe I have a two month old. I have to remind myself he's not a newborn any more. He's getting chubbier and cooing a lot and smiling so much more these days. He's also crying/fussing a lot more than usual but I hear that it peaks around the 6-8 week mark so here's hoping he goes back to minimal crying soon...though I can't really complain even now.
He is currently napping in one of those baby reclining chairs that vibrate. It seems it's the only way I can get him to nap successfully at home during the day. His bassinet works fine at night but he seems to associate it with night time and nap time just doesn't fly. He also doesn't like sleeping long in the day before noon or sometimes 2 so it's been tough trying to break that habit as he gets a bit over tired when he doesn't sleep in the AM.
Routine. He is very predictable. Pretty consistently feeds at night every 3 hours but will go 4 hours in the first shift. In the day it's every 3 hours unless he's sleeping and sleeps through one...like now (since he skipped almost all naps this morning). He also routinely gets a bit fussy around 7/7:30 at night, it's like he knows it's bedtime at 8pm. So when we're out this causes a little stress for me but he will always settle eventually, just maybe not without a little help and cuddles when we're in a new place. I don't mind. He's not going to want cuddles forever!
Some days are easy when it comes to sleep, other days are so hard I feel like I'm going to fall over when I'm standing/walking around. But it's all worth it. He's such a sweet sweet sweet boy. I'm absolutely in love with him. Who knew I'd have such a cute baby? And just to prove it here's a couple photos :)

Yup - all true! xoxo Mom
