Sick Baby

My poor little guy has been sick for a few days now. He's pretty much himself all day but at night he really struggles to sleep soundly (as do I) because he keeps waking up with phlegm in his throat or coughing it up or being annoyed by the feeling of snot coming down his nose (so annoying!). So we've been doing a lot of co sleeping lately with him on my chest. Though last night he was the squirmiest little guy ever and getting up almost every 2 instead of 3-4 hours like he's been starting to so that was a little rough.
I'm beginning to dread the morning now. That last feed is SO hard to stay away. I'm talkin' eye rolling-head bobbing every minute for the whole minute for the whole feed. It probably looks pretty funny. I'm just glad the Daddy is too busy sleeping to find this out and video tape it.

However along with the tough there is always the terribly cute. This morning for some reason he was completely content to lie in his bassinet and stare out the window while I attempted to lie down in bed and close my eyes. However I was kept awake by the most adorable babbling cooing sounds! He's not really made any sounds except for crying, coughing, snorting, grunting etc so this was absolutely heart melting. I was going to try and video tape it but 1. it wouldn't do it justice and 2. it'd be a lot of footage of not much just to catch a couple seconds of cooing which he'd probably be done doing by the time I got the camera out....haha can you tell I was/am a little tired from the night? Yep justifying why I'm not video taping the most minute details of my first borns life. And now I'm drinking coffee...3 days in a row. Hmm...I foresee an addiction coming on.
