I've been going a bit bonkers lately with the nesting and cleaning thing. I really have enjoyed getting rid of stuff we haven't used or even looked at since we moved in. I am still nagged by a few dusty corners I know that are hiding a trip or two more trips to either the garbage of the thrift store.
I did my first load of baby clothes in the laundry last night. Oh gosh folding it is so cute (though I'm sure that novelty will wear off when they're going through 6 outfits a day from spit up to pooplosions). Anyhow I have a bunch of stuff from either gifts or hand me downs and at first I thought I'd just put it all in the dresser and now I'm realizing I have no idea how to organize it in all the little compartments and sizes and when will I need them and wanting to make it as "user friendly" and organized as possible. All those pinterest blogs make it look so simple and yet I stared at the open drawer with IKEA compartments like...what the heck? Which one should I use for onesies, blankets, bibs, hats, shirts, sleepers and all the other clothes items I don't have just yet.
Have I mentioned my severe (or probably rather normal) case of pregnancy brain? WOW. It's for real man. The Daddy loves it. If he was a paid comedian I'm sure I'd be his next act for years to come. So many brain farts, mangled words and sentences and not to mention blank stares in the middle of a task. So that's been fun. Or at least entertaining for some.
I've been wondering about delivery day photos. There are a few special moments I would love captured but I don't want to make the Daddy do it and spoil his moments and I'm not sure if that is covered under the job of the midwives...since obviously they have more important things to take care of that day. We are keeping it just the two of us and the midwives, though my sister had a student midwife who was able to take photos for her...I will have to ask at my next appointment just who is going to be there and if that might be a possibility. Though I can't expect the exact shots I want and have drooled over on pinterest...I guess that's what the affluent pay to have an actual photographer for. Just sucks when I know (if I was not the one in labour) I could do it myself.
Well those are my preggo thoughts lately and things that have been happening in our lives. This belly is getting quite round and hard and it's so crazy awesome to feel movement from the outside. Much of the movement is under my ribs these days which makes sitting some what uncomfortable at times but it's so cool in a couple months I'll be able to feel all those movements without my own body in the way. Cute little hands and feet and arms and legs and cheeks and lips :) Can't wait.
