Getting Space Ready with 2 Months to Go!

We are potentially picking up the crib today! Can't wait! SO in order to ensure this is more likely to happen I did all the prep work i.e. making space for it.
I definitely over did it. I think I intentionally waited until The Daddy went to work so I could just go at it. And go at it I did.
I totally had to reorganize the office, purging, condensing, tossing and moving stuff around but I made space for a potential rocking chair beside our desk as seen here; ok well currently there are baskets with books and paper but I'll be finding a new home for those once we get a chair.

Next I had to move the bassinet from the cubby whole in our living room finally into our bedroom. Might as well get used to less space now before having to get used to everything else all at once! I didn't realize how big of a base that bassinet had, gosh it takes up much more room than I had envisioned...oh well, that is temporary. I might be using that square stool thing to nurse on if I can get an uber comfy corner pillow. I tried it with my body pillow it's pretty comfy and should do the trick.

Then I did the doozy of taking apart the bed and moving it out of the bedroom. Mmm, in hindsight (actually the thought occurred to me just before tackling it) I should have just waited for The Daddy to come home and do it but it worked out, and worked me out. Now it's in our living room. Yuk. But I don't care cause the uglier and more obvious it is the sooner it'll get moved to K-Gramma's place (like my Korean Grandma version of Kpop/drama? haha!).

Then I moved the emptied (but still weighing a tonne!) dresser that'll be used for baby clothes and the diaper change area into the nur-ffice (nursery-office like it?) and the crib mattress so I have an idea of how it'll be set up once the crib gets in here. So far not too over crowded. Let's hope my measurements are correct! Oh also that dresser I used to un-affectionately call "the beast" because I thought it was so ugly. Now I totally dig it. Other than the fact that empty it can still throw a grown man's back out if you're not careful moving it.
I'm so excited to be setting up. I'm 8 months today (which means I need to get a photo taken huh? I can't believe it's only 2 more (ish) months. I'm feeling the baby kick and roll and push and move all the time and I can't wait to hold him or her and see their face and hear their cry (although I'm sure I'll only love the cry part for a little bit). I can't believe how blessed we are to start a family and I'm so excited to be starting it with a wonderful and loving husband, a supportive and thrilled family and a caring and excited community of friends. I am blessed and thankful. This is my today's hymn!
