So I know we are to boast in Christ alone, and well I guess I am since I can't take credit for my child but MAN he is CUTE! I tend to join in when strangers, friends, family are oo'ing and aww'ing over my boy. I just can't help it.
Today I had a mommy meetup (through meetup.com) and met some other first time mom's at a cafe (that was kid friendly while still maintaining class and coolness for non-mom's). It is pretty funny but also to be expected that when mom's get together and at first glance the only thing we have in common is that we're mom's what do we talk about? Our kids. I hope to get to know them better so that we can talk about us as women and our lives in our many roles (not that it's bad to talk about your kids but it's nice to expand into other topics as well!).
I love being a mom. I don't necessarily feel different than I was before but I know I am definitely different. I am more mushy, I laugh more, I smile more, I sleep less (ha), and even the hardest days are worth it. I know there are tougher days to come but I know even then it'll be worth it.
