Time is Ticking!

Well it's less than 2 weeks to my due date and I've already had the check up calls, texts and emails :) Thank you for your excitement it makes me laugh because it's not even past my due date and I think others are more excited than we are! We feel very loved. Have no fear we will let you know when things get started, heck I might even make a blog post if it starts slow enough, aka that means you'll have to check here often muhuhahaha!
Today should have been a recovery day from the weekend for both the Daddy and I as we moved his mom to another apartment on Saturday (a long day for both of us though he definitely worked waaaay harder than I did/was allowed to!). Then Sunday we had a special surprise shower for a dear couple of ours and a few close friends which was lovely, delicious and heart warming though we ended up back at home closer to 11 (after dropping off some old apartment keys at Sam's mom's new place).
But now with the accumulation of "stuff" from the move in our place we have to sort and purge in order to keep things "doable" if anything happens early here.

I also did a Walmart run for labour supplies like snacks for the midwives/hubby/myself, some newborn diapers for the hospital bag and other lovely mess-preventing items to have on hand just in case. It's getting exciting and surreal that it could happen any day (or in 3 weeks). Sam thinks I have dropped and I feel like there is much more room between the top of the belly and...well, my chest. Though the heart burn seems to have returned with a vengeance despite the extra space.

I've been reading up on some articles my midwives have passed on for my reading leisure/pleasure about labour, delivery and post-partum which have been interesting and helpful (and sometimes hilarious especially when I read them to Sam, like how to deliver a baby if it's coming too fast that was a good one!). I know I probably will forget it all but at least I'll have them in my own little "pregnancy" binder for later if I just don't know what "that" is.

So that's the update. I don't have a belly shot but maybe I can get the Daddy to take one today just for fun and post it later. You can judge for yourself and guess if I've dropped or not ;)
