We had another appointment today, full of laughs courtesy of "The Daddy" of course. Our poor midwife was super busy and backed up and said she's glad she didn't reschedule us because it was a fun appointment so that was nice to hear :)
She went through the results of the last ultra sound we had and other than needing another one to get another view of the spine everything was perfect and perfectly normal. Sizes, positions, fluids, levels of this and that, everything is great.
I'm about 8lbs more than I was pre-pregnancy so I'd say that's a good start for being half way. Here's hoping I don't pack it on unnecessarily in the last half ha!
The heart beat was like a boom box! Man this kid's heart sounds strong. I mean not that I've heard any other babies heart beats in the womb but I didn't expect it to be this loud. So that's good, she said this baby is definitely growing and healthy!
Also there was a few "fresh" babies in the clinic today, one was not exactly happy to be there. It's amazing how the cry of a baby sounds completely different when you're expecting. It's amazing but also really really freaky. A little nerve racking that that will be us in less than 6 months! But at least I know we won`t be the only parents with a crying baby to inhabit this earth ;)
That's all the news from today so now us soon to be parents are going on a movie date and using 1 of the gifts we got for Christmas. We will relish these movie theatre dates as I'm sure they will be a lot fewer and more far between in the next year ;)
