Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It was an interesting one being pregnant and not able to sleep in my own bed, have my own comforts and constantly being on the move for events and picking up necessities and storing food all in different locations. It was tiring. It was stressful. It will be a memory not necessarily loathed either ;)
We got a few cute things for the baby (honestly I was most excited for those gifts other than the fuzzy hat I got from The Daddy). Just the other day things got really real as I was taking off tags and un-pinning baby clothes from hangers. As I was folding up the clothes for the "baby wash" load it struck me that these are my own kids clothes. So. Weird. But so cool. I love little baby clothes it's so cute to hold and look at and imagine a chubby little baby in there.
ALSO we found out another friend of ours is pregnant. So now we have a total (including us) of 5 pregnant couples in our close group of friends! It's bonkers but maternity leave is gonna be fun that's for sure! Pretty pumped about filling up my "Mom's & Tots" workout class haha (ok potentially, it hasn't been completely planned out yet but stay tuned). But we are super happy for all our friends expecting (all between late April and August!).
On another front, this baby really is sucking the life out of me, especially in the calcium area! A whole front quarter of one of my molars chipped off (and revealed some nasty cavity I had to have fixed and filled). And now I'm back to that nasty "tickle" cough that started off my horrendous sinus infection only a few weeks ago. Praying like crazy it doesn't turn into that again :( I just can't take being sick this often, I need a break to get back on track before starting at ground zero again.
So that's the update. Really excited about putting a baby in those cute outfits we got :)
