What I Love About Being Pregnant

I hear a lot of not so great stories about being pregnant, granted some women do have really tough and trying pregnancies so I am not trying to discredit them.  But I have loved being pregnant, sure there was nausea and back pain but I've had it really good. Here are my reasons;

1. Uh there's a human being growing inside me! Crazy! It's good to have your mind blown about God's awesome creation every now and then :)
2. I can get on the scale and say, "oh good I'm gaining weight" hahaha!
3. Maternity clothes are SOOOO comfy.
4. I get to be in more pictures. Haha sounds vain, but when you're always the one taking them you tend to get missed out on in the photo record of family life.
5. Finally feeling movement is so crazy, I want to feel it all the time. Great reminders there's a little person in there with little hands and feet waving around (or punching and kicking)
6. Not being obsessed with calorie counting. Don't get me wrong now is not the time to eat junk for two (seriously!) but to eat healthily for two, but at the same time it's nice to know I'm allowed to eat a little more than usual and enjoy it.
7. Slowing life down because I can't do everything and I do get tired from too much. Learning to take joy in the small things, like a night in eating home made cookies watching the Olympics with my husband wearing comfy pants sprawled across the couch just being with each other. Or writing and reading more, singing and dancing more.
8. Finding alternative workouts for pregnancy that make working out fun again and take the "fear of fat" out of it.
9. Excuse for having parties (aka showers). I haven't had them yet but I'm looking forward to celebrating this new life with family, friends, food and yes awkward baby shower games no one wants to play hahahaha!
10. Drawing closer to God and realizing more and more how much I do and need to rely on Him for everything, having His peace that even when I am not in control He is and I can rest in that for pregnancy, child birth and raising our little one.
11. Oh and one more, I can shave my legs and still have some what smooth legs for a week!!! Too bad I wasn't pregnant over the summer!
