So I haven't touched many pregnant bellies (mostly due to the fact that I think I'd feel awkward doing it and having it done to me...though I'm a little over it to a tiny extent now) but I did know they felt firm before I got pregnant. I just didn't know how it'd feel to have one.
However only recently has my little bump become more of a round mound (today actually I looked in the mirror and thought...uh really? How did that happen so fast?).
I was chatting with my brother the other day and was trying to explain it doesn't just feel like you're just gaining regular weight or have a food belly. It actually feels quite sensitive to touch for me kinda like a severely bloated stomach with the rock hardest abs ever haha! So any sort of pressure on my stomach feels quite uncomfortable. Sometimes that pressure is coming from the inside these days!
So that's how it feels to me. Really bloated hard stomach. Didn't think it would feel that way I guess I thought it'd just feel heavy and squishy and in the way (the in the way part is getting increasingly noticeable when putting on shoes or leaning forward while sitting).
It's exciting. I've been looking up pregnancy videos on relaxation lately as well as listening to women with similar birth plans to mine (and how some of them just go completely out the window aaahhhh...makes me a little more nervous than before but yeah, will have to be flexible). I've even become more interested in having some sort of recording device (camera or video) at the birth but just for right after. I am kinda curious how I will react seeing my baby the first time and kinda want it captured...but I don't know who would do that cause I want Sam to enjoy the moment too and it'll only be my midwives (hopefully) there.
